JETS U14 BOYS ENJOY OTTAWA TRIP
The Golden Jets U14 boys traveled to Ottawa for a weekend tournament and grew significantly as a team and individually from
the experience.
The highlight of the weekend was a 8-5 win over Capital Wave of Ottawa. In the game, the Jets fell behind 0-2 at the end of the opening quarter and were tied 4-4 at the end of the third. A strong 4-1 4th quarter was the difference for the Jets.
Another highlight was a close 7-5 loss to Shadow WPC with the Jets again being tied 4-4 at the end of the third quarter.
The Jets also lost 11-7 to Hamilton which will prove to be a benchmark for improvement as the teams will meet again at the Provincial Championships.
Over the weekend numerous Jets players found the back of the net: Alex Papalazarou led the way with 6 goals while Serafim Kotyarov, Leo Papalazarou and Sebastien Nisker netted 5 goals apiece. Mateo Vukovic notched 4 goals. Mateo Vukovic added 3 goals and singles went to Riley Finkel, Jonathan Longphee and Charlie Botterill.
