JETS BOYS WIN ANDREW WATSON TOURNAMENT
For the first time in over 25 years, the Toronto Golden Jets won the Andrew Watson Memorial Tournament in Guelph. The Jets sent a combined U16/U18 team with the majority of players from the U16 group.
The boys played 5 games on the weekend earning convincing wins over Mavericks (22-2) and DDO 'B' (13-6). The Jets also defeated DDO 'A' 5-1. Nail biter contests included a 8-7 win over the combined Guelph-Hamilton-London squad and 7-6 over K-W.
This is a major step forward for the Jets age group boys program which has been developing rapidly over the past three years including silver medals at the last two U14 provincial championships.
Congratulations to coaches Predrag Pejanovic and Zoran Petrovic and, of course, to all the players!
