JETS U19 BOYS SCORE PAIUR OF CONVINCING WINS IN B.C.
The Toronto Golden Jets U19 boys team scored a pair of convincing 16-8 wins on day 3 of the B.C. crossover tournament in Surrey.
In the opener, the Jets jumped out to a 6-3 first quarter lead over Team Saskatchewan. They extended the lead to 10-4 at the half and 14-5 at the end of three quarters.
David Rapoport led all scorers with 6 goals, Blake Carnevale notched 4, Stefan Mitic and Alex Bozzo each scored twice while Kosta Grbic and Marko Avdalovic added singles.
Later in the day, the Jets took on the Edmonton Tsunami. Again the Jets jumped out to a three goal first quarter lead. However, the Tsunami narrowed it by one in the second. The Jets then scored 4 unanswered goals in the third to go up 12-6.
Scoring was well spread out in this match but Rapoport led the way with another monster game of 7 goals. Bozzo had a hat trick, Carnevale potted two while single tallies went to Mitic, Avdalovic, Grbic and Luka Pejanovic.
