Bantam Jets Win All at K-W Tournament

The Golden Jets Bantam Boys went to Waterloo this past Saturday and surprised everyone by winning all four of their games. All of the players got to play substantial minutes in each game as coaches Predrag Pejanovic and Jacqui Romandel (pictured at left) freely substituted players throughout the day. Stefan Vukovic and Nikola Visnjic led all scorers. Arthur Atangana played very well in goal for the Bantam Jets. Matija Nikolic scored several goals from the centre forward position and was ably backed up by Ryan Bradley. Cameron Romandel checked centre and shut down the opposing teams' best centre forwards. William Qiu was excellent in a playmaking and counter-attacking role. Marko Avdalovic was a potent starter and Aleksa Branko, Igor Jovanovic, Luca Pejanovic and Boti Nemeth all got their feet wet (pun intended!). Next up for
the Bantam Jets is a trip to Ottawa for the Titans Cup at the end of January.

Cadet Jets (U-16 Boys) Teams Sweep K-W Invitational

This past Sunday, coach Zoran Petrovic split his cadets into two equal teams to play in the K-W Invitational in Waterloo. Both teams went on to win all their games and showed lots of discipline in helping each other out, especially when the two bantams per team were in the water. The tournament was a great end of Fall season event.
Next up for the Cadet Jets is the Paul Taylor Memorial Tournament at the Olympium Jan 8-9) and a trip to Quebec the following weekend.

First Ever U-16 Girls Team Debuts at K-W Invitational!

For the first time ever, the Toronto Golden Jets entered a U-16 girls team in a competition.
The U-16 girls went to Waterloo to play in the K-W Invitational. Under-(wo)manned, the
girls fought hard and got lots of experience in the way the women's game is played. Mia Kulic played goal and made several saves after just starting to learn the position two weeks ago. The twins (Megan and Nicole Murray) were applying their new found center forward skills while
Lea Champagne provided left-handed scoring. Karolina Pejanovic played hard on defence
and the two bantams (Pascale Bider and Fredi McCabe) were swimming up and down the pool continuously helping on offence and defence. Some of the teams helped out our totally inexperienced and no-substitutes team by lending a couple of players to us, for which the girls were truly thankful! All-in-all, a great start. The next step is to have another 7-10 U-16 girls join!
