JETS MEN FINISH FIRST IN MLWP REGULAR SEASON

The Golden Jets senior men won their last two games of the season to move into first place in MLWP's Eastern Conference.

In the Jets' penultimate regular season game, the team traveled to face the Mavs and started well with a 3-0 first quarter lead.  The Jets extended the lead to 7-2 at the half and 11-4 after three quarters before eventually winning 14-6.

Rudy Despaigne (pictured, #2) led the way with five goals followed by Daniel Ugray with four, Alan Chung three and Euan Scoffield two.

The Jets then finished at home against the club's second team (Silver Jets) with a 14-1 victory.

Sukhmun Hare, Paul Spooner, Tuna Tali, Chung and Scoffield each scored twice while Matt Hart, Milos Radojcic, Emirhan Ozdemir and Ugray notched one apiece.

With the two wins, the two-time defending National Champion
Jets slipped by the Montreal Roadrunners by two points and will be the #1 seed at the National Finals to be played in Montreal this weekend.  The top seed provides the Jets men with a bye into the semi-finals.

JETS MEN SWEEP HOME AND HOME WITH HAMMER

The Golden Jets senior men's team swept a home and home series with Hammer WPC winning 18-4 at home and then 19-3 in Hamilton.

In the home game, the Jets jumped out to a commanding 6-0 first quarter lead and then extended it to 10-0 at the half.  Rudy Despaigne and Daniel Ugray paced the attack with five goals apiece.  Mike Chapman counted a hat trick and Tuna Tali added two.  Single markers went to Sever Topan, Sukhmun Hare and Euan Scoffield.

The return match in Hamilton went much the same way as the Jets surged out to a 7-0 first quarter lead and led 12-1 at the half.  Ugray again popped in five goals, Milos Radojcic notched four while Despaigne chipped in with a hat trick.  Topan, Tali and Alan Chung each scored twice and Scoffield added another single.

The wins allowed the Jets to keep pace with Montreal CAMO Roadrunners in the race for first place.  The Jets trail the Roadrunners by one point but have a game in hand.

JETS SILVER MEN END SEASON ON WINNING NOTE

The second Golden Jets men's team in MLWP won its final game of the season on the road by defeating Hammer WPC 10-7 in Hamilton.

Missing a couple of key players and having only two substitutes, the Jets fell behind 3-0 before the opening quarter was half over.  The team then pulled itself together and gradually worked away at the deficit before tieing the game 6-6 early in the third quarter.

Marko Avdalovic (pictured with ball) led the way with a hat trick, Stefan Mitic, Zach Ginsberg and Stefan Vukovic each scored twice while William Qiu added the other tally.

The three wins marks the most ever by the Jets second team in a season.  Congratulations!!
