JETS PLAYERS VOLUNTEER AT UANA CUP

The UANA Cup, which is also the qualification tournament for this year's world Championships,

featured Canada's men's teamagainst Brazil. Five Jets juniors (Stefan Mitic, Matija Babic, Victor

Brancus, Dennis Lipman and Stanko Oparnica) went to the Markham Pan Am pool as volunteers for

the event. The exciting game ended in a tie. The Jets "shagged" balls during warm-up and the game

as well as worked the scoring table and served as standard bearers for the player introductions.

JETS 14U PLAYERS TAKE PART IN SPECIAL CAMP

Several Golden Jets 14U players joined other players from around the province to take part in a

special one day camp at the new Markham Pan Am pool. The camp was set up by Water Polo Canada

and featured all the members of the Canadian Women's National Team. The Jets players had winger

Stephanie Valin (Montreal) and goalie Nicola Colterjohn (Hamilton) as their personal coaches

throughout the afternoon. After the pool and deck sessions, the players got the chance to get

autographs from and pictures with the women's national team players.
